Two enterprising engineers, Pieter Laubscher and Andries Smith, decide to start a small consultancy with offices in Pretoria and Polokwane, South Africa operating originally as Laubscher Smith Partnership.
The company Koda Trading (Pty) Ltd was acquired with the purpose of providing more exposure to commercial activities in parallel to the engineering consultancy.
In order to support Black Economic Empowerment in South Africa, a subsidiary company under the title of Sekonya Matumba Associates was established with the majority shareholding vested in our two new partners.
Recognising the need for expansion in South Africa, we joined forces with a consultancy in Bloemfontein, Johan Vos Engineers and formed a consultancy under the title of Laubscher Smith Vos.
